Customer Service

Within a customer service role you must possess good people skills, excellent communication, and enjoy helping people in a friendly manner. The main key to being successful in the customer service sector is ensuring that the customer needs are always satisfied. The objective is to provide outstanding customer service and promote this idea throughout the company they work for. If you have a passion to help people, a customer service role would suit your personality.
Advising and guiding people would be part of your role, whether it’s over the phone, via email or the more traditional face-to-face. There are a number of different responsibilities that vary depending on what level of customer service you are in. At a higher level you would be developing customer service policies and implementing them on the entire company. Furthermore, you could be researching methods to measure customer satisfaction and improving the way your organisation delivers their customer service.  At a lower level you would be expected to handle face to face enquiries from customers and solve any problems in a calm, friendly and effective manner.
