Sous Chef - Daytime hours - Informal Dining
ROLE: Sous Chef
SALARY: Circa £26’000 dependent on experience
Daytime hours (No more late nights!)
LOCATION: CLITHEROE
We have a rare opportunity for a passionate Sous Chef to support an evolving destination site with the informal food offer to their customers.
The menu covers a variety of dishes that are all focused on current eating trends. Vegan, Vegetarian not forgetting some traditional lancashire dishes. You would be working with a very passionate team with the ability to influence and change the menu seasonally.
We are searching for a unique passion. A real foodie who has a strong desire to bring a something a little different. Developing from scratch a seasonal ever-changing menu.
You will need a positive character that can absorb the culture, their unique business and add growth to the organisation.
The role of Sous Chef is vitally important to the successful operation of the business. In particular the consistent drive to raise service delivery standards. The position entails a high degree of flair and creativity, energy, enthusiasm, an unbiased attitude, a high degree of teamwork and co-operation with the emphasis on achievement, accuracy, honesty and integrity.
This role is not about change, this role is all about evolving an already successful business. Very exciting times and one that cannot be missed!

- A passion for natural foods and different cultures of food and cuisine i.e. Mediterranean/Vegan/Gluten Free.
- A desire to support the Head Chef developing a food offering that is unique.
- Influence the development of the current product range and offer creative ideas in order to enhance the core products.
- Introduce new food styles or products and assist in the service and presentation.
- Ensure the evolution and reputation of the current product range is enhanced working with customer and colleague feedback.
- Experience of working with Pastry would be beneficial but not essential.
