Mechanical Design Engineer

ROLE:                    Mechanical Design Engineer, Automated Handling Solutions                                
LOCATION:           Clitheroe. March 2024 relocation to J4 M65 (Lower Darwen)
SALARY:               Circa £38'000 - 40’000 dependant on experience + overtime + qtrly bonus OTE £50'000

We are currently searching for a Project Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Automated Handling Solutions team supporting the customer experience as we continue to expand across UK and Europe.
 
Mechanical Design Engineer key skills:
 
  • Hands on approach is absolutely key.
  • Design engineering experience within in Mechanical Manufacturing is key.
  • Customer exposure and project experience.
  • Thorough admin, reporting and communication skills. Coupled with a strong attention to detail.
  • Mechanical Design Engineering experience would be considered from a variety of industries. (Food Industry / Waste Recycling / Aerospace / Confectionery / Pharmaceutical / Agricultural / Construction )
  • 3D CAD Inventor is essential.
 
Mechanical Design Engineer attributes:
 
  • You will be a highly motivated self-starter, with an interest in manufacturing engineering or an interest of working within a technical environment.
  • Educated to degree level with mechanical engineering degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or Project Engineer.
  • Live within a commutable distance from Clitheroe or Darwen.
  • Ability to balance projects with strong time management skills.
  • Positive attitude and manner.
  • Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship ensuring repeat custom.
  • Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.
  • Working with and supporting cross departmental – design, engineers, purchasing, shop floor.
