- We are currently searching for an individual who loves to be an essential part of a team…a natural people person.
- Someone who is eager for progression.
- Ideally with some experience as an electrician in a commercial business or contractor or a maintenance engineer in a commercial business.
- This highly commercial business will provide you an active and prominent role in one of the most successful retailers in the UK.
- The role is 2 days or nights on and 2 days off. Days and Nights will alternate. Across 2 shift patterns 6am to 6pm and 6pm until 6am. Salaried weekly contract of 42 hrs. Some overtime required at peak (December). Sample rota can be provided.
- This is a role where you will need to be adaptable to help the business and support the team working with planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems in machinery and building maintenance (Fire Systems/Pumps/Welfare facilities/Lighting) in the distribution centre.
- It is electrical biased but will also have some facility repairs and possibly mechanical maintenance as well.
- Exposure to working in a commercial business either in construction, new build or retail distribution or possibly food production environment would be ideal.
- Solid mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, ideally with 18th Edition, BMS or HVAC and either apprenticeship trained or NVQ level 3. It isn’t a deal breaker…if you do not have all this experience as training will and can be offered.
- Influencing skills is essential as a Facilities Engineer to fit well into the company’s excellent culture.
- Head room for development as a Facilities Engineer…there are cross department opportunities and a strong career path to chase!
- Attitude to see the bigger picture…flexibility to meet the needs of the business will be required…particularly at peak trading.
