Role: Retail Site Manager
Location: Holden, Clitheroe
Salary: Circa £25’000 - £35’000 totally dependent on experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Store Manager, General Manager or Strong Deputy Manager ready to lead a multi-function retail / site operation based at Holden Clough Nurseries.
We are focusing our search for a strong retailer who has a huge passion for products aimed at a discerning customer. Particularly experience of delivering products to a customer that has a creative eye and a passion to shop local and in an independent environment.
You will need to have your finger on the pulse. Have led, developed, mentored, and coached a team...plus having the customer at the heart of everything you do.
We need you to have the ability to jump on board…bringing with you some key retail and operational skills.

- Ability to think on your feet, devising new initiatives to maximise sales.
- High retail floor standards.
- The ability to lead, develop and grow a team.
- Work without supervision or the engulfing support you can find in large retailers.
- Have natural passion, energy and drive.
- Absolutely ‘love’ what you do.
- Ownership of the operation you lead working closely with the owners to maximise the output.
- Strength of character to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Stock management/bar coding/logistics/pricing.
- Developing stock management system and technical systems.
- Driving sales and revenue. Maximising best and worst sellers, influencing orders through customers shopping habits.
- Local Marketing, Brochures, webbing all activity together with social media.
- Driving and initiating event bookings. Groups and Coach.
- Working with the buying team and attending trade fairs.
- Support the owners with HR initiatives and delivery.
