SALARY:               £50’000 to £55’000

A leading and growing hospitality group who operate a successful portfolio or high turnover boutique venues are seeking a General Manager to join the senior team reporting directly into the board, working alongside peer stakeholders.

This is not an everyday hospitality chain. This is a unique, successful group of destination bars, hotels and Inns with a thriving events business.

This role provides you with the autonomy to lead the largest operation with a strong Food & Beverage and Events mix. The role focuses on the commerciality of the site, 100% hands on, leading and guiding the team of 80 to operate commercially, customer focused with high presentation and operational standards.  

What are we searching for? General Manager – High Volume Food & Beverage / Events

  • You will currently be in a General Manager within a hospitality. This could either be High Volume Inns/Pubs, or Events.
  • You will be a highly commercial individual with a proven track record of driving costs and delivering cost control. You will have a natural love for achieving the commercial goals.
  • Attention to detail to ensure your sites are well maintained in all aspects of Presentation, Health and Safety, Operational Standards, Maintenance and Customer Experience.
  • Proven experience and awareness of leading and driving a team to deliver a strong performance.
  • You will put the customer experience as your number one priority ensuring all the team deliver high standards daily.
  • Well balanced manager with the aptitude to look at the business and assist in the continual development of the business as it grows.
  • Ability to think outside the box, always focused on how the business can do things better.
  • Awareness and proven experience that small changes can make big differences.
Experience required - General Manager – High Volume Food & Beverage / Events

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Manager, High Volume General Manager, Cluster Manager, Multi Site Operations Manager within a high turnover fast paced hospitality / pub / events business.
  • Very strong commercial acumen.
  • Turnover experience of 3 million plus and leading a team in excess of 50.
  • A vibrant personality, able to lead and inspire an already successful team.
  • Events experience is an advantage but certainly not a prerequisite.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Passion for very high customer service standards, with the ability to train and lead from the front.
  • Naturally driven with enthusiasm to succeed.
  • Ability to balance many balls!
