They are part of the local community, bringing local jobs to local people and offering smaller communities a department store. They assist in providing an increase in customer traffic for local retailers, breathing life into these otherwise quiet streets.
about the role
They are now looking to appoint a Store Manager to report into the Area Manager. You will effectively manage and control operations within the store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Highly professional and an excellent communicator and motivator, you will lead by example and take ownership of the store to maximise profit and minimise losses.
From the outset you will be encouraged to use your own initiative, giving you the opportunity to make a real contribution towards the success of your store.
A 'hands' on role, you will be equipped to find solutions to problems and be able to demonstrate that you are commercially aware as you effectively manage and comply with cash management and back office procedures, security, merchandising guidelines and stock file accuracy and dealing effectively with customer and staff issues.
what experience do you need?
The successful applicant will have previous store management experience, preferably gained within a multi product or fashion retail background. You must have strong merchandising and man management skills.
