MERCHANDISER – RETAIL

SALARY - £30,000 - £35,000

LOCATION - BOURNEMOUTH

We seek an experienced MERCHANDISER to join this fast growing multi channel retailer. You will be responsible for ensuring the products really deliver to the customers as well as delivering on sales, margin and profitability. Their range has doubled in size over the last 2 years which makes this role is central to the continued growth of the business...
You will be responsible for maximising revenue from effective range deployment
Responsibilities will include:

• Optimise productivity of product ranges, maximising sales and margin whilst minimising space requirements
• Providing range planning expertise to help optimise the range review selection process
• Project Manage and deliver changes to space allocation to maintain optimum range productivity
• Work with Buying, Marketing & Supply Chain to maximise productivity of promotional and consumable ranges merchandised in store
 

what experience do you need?

The successful Merchandiser MUST have significant prior experience within retail merchandising, range and space planning, ideally but not exclusively from within the DIY, HOMEWARES or FMCG sectors. You will have the ability to identify commercial opportunities from reported data and have strong numerical and financial skills. Your career to date will have shown you to be a skilled negotiator with the ability to effectively influence others and it will have ideally given you experience in other related functions such as operations, supply chain or marketing.
