about the role
This role will require a bright and enthusiastic individual who can help to maintain the efficient operation of the Head Office, Warehouse, Retail and Direct IT functions, including implementation and support of cost-effective solutions, policies and procedures
what experience do you need?
- Excellent customer service skills and experience of working in a service orientated environment
- Specific computer systems knowledge relating to Microsoft operating systems (Windows workstation and server systems).
- Microsoft business packages (MS Office - various versions, Openoffice). Expected area of expertise to include installation/configuration and use of packages to intermediate level.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks under pressure. Able to identify the business impact of support calls and to prioritise and escalate as appropriate.
Preferred
- Some knowledge and experience of retail/EPOS systems
- Microsoft certification (MCP, MCSE)
- IBM iSeries operating experience
- Working knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec
- Help Desk Management tools
