We need an extremely talented CYCLE BUYER who is enthusiastic about product and absorbs themselves in the world of bikes! This is a clear area for growth and development, the right person will grab this category by its horns and drive the business forward...
Your knowledge and passion for this area of growth is absolutely paramount to your success – you must currently be a buyer and ideally a buyer in the cycle world!
about the role
The role – CYCLE BUYER
- Plan,select and develop the Cycle range, type and quantity of products according to customer demand i.e. price, quality and availability,
- Understand and follow cycle market trends and budget.
- Maintain, develop, and introduce new relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products.
- Meet with suppliers and negotiate terms of contract.
- Manage plans for stock levels, reacting to change in demand and logistics.
- Analyse consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends.
- Liase with merchandisers on stock levels.
- Establish slow moving lines within each category and implement an exit strategy.
- Liase with operation team to ensure supply meets demand.
- Seek merchandise feedback from customers.
