about the role

• Supporting Store Manager with duty management.
• Responsible for achieving total customer satisfaction by ensuring that all team members consistently demonstrate customer care, selling techniques, merchandising skills and a knowledge of current promotions following company standards.
• Training and development of the team.
• Tracking and solving customer complaints/queries in a professional manner.
• Accountable for the compliance, training and maintenance of health, hygiene and safety standards and demonstrating acceptable monthly performance targets.
• Overseeing the delivery of operations and brand audit standards.
• Responsible for unit operations statement and financial control.
• Maintaining updated employee records as well as working time directives.
• Implementing and monitoring of all sector marketing initiatives.

what experience do you need?

• You will be currently working within the food/supermarket/convenience environment in a management or supervisory role.
• You will be able to demonstrate leadership by effectively recruiting, inducting, training, appraising and developing all employees within your team to the company standard.
• Manage payroll and benefits for team members in accordance with company procedures and policies.
• Manage employee relations and performance management issues to meet company standards.
