In a sales role it is your duty to sell an organisation’s products and services to customers. Customers include individuals, businesses and government organisations,  sales could be domestic, within the UK, or international.
The overall aim is to win new business by approaching appropriate customers. It is essential to have good social skills in a sales role in order to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible. It is just as important to be successful in maintaining loyal custom as it is to win new customers.
The sales industry is a highly target driven environment, consequently the work-load can sometimes be demanding and pressurised.
