Food Development Chef

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Food Development Chef or Chef Manager with a forward thinking approach to join a business currently going through a positive growth plan.

About The Role


SALARY: CIRCA £35’000 to 45’000 dependent on experience
No evenings. 6pm finish.


Your role will be to take the lead role in developing and evolving the company’s food offer to the customers. You will need a positive character that can absorb the culture, their unique business and add growth to the organization.

The role of Food Development Chef / Chef Manager is vitally important to the successful operation of the business. In particular the consistent drive to raise service delivery standards. The position entails a high degree of flair and creativity, energy, enthusiasm, an unbiased attitude, a high degree of teamwork and co-operation with the emphasis on achievement, accuracy, honesty and integrity.

What Experience Do You Need?

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team.
  • A passion for natural foods and different cultures of food and cuisine i.e. Mediterranean/Vegan/Gluten Free.
  • A desire to develop a food offering that is unique.
  • As the Food Development Chef / Chef Manager you will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated with a huge attention to detail.
  • Methodical and organised, professionally competent, constructive and approachable.
  • Present a professional image and an ambassador for the department and the company.
  • Directly accountable for the development of the current product range and offer creative ideas in order to enhance the core products.
  • Introduce new food styles or products and assist in the service and presentation.
  • Ensure the evolution and reputation of the current product range is enhanced working with customer and colleague feedback.
  • Putting the customer and team 1st!
  • This role will predominately work with the Chef brigade, but you will be expected to support and work with the Senior Management team and Front of House team in service, presentation, availability, style and delivery of all products to the dining service areas.

For this opportunity we are seeking a Food Development Chef or Chef Manager who is used to working in a ‘hands on’ commercial environment with a strong talent for leading and inspiring a team alongside proven experience of food development and introducing commercial ideas and product to a strong performing business. This role is extremely diverse, and you will have to wear many hats from developing and implementing best practices, to maximising opportunities, and developing new food offerings, importantly ensuring the business delivers beyond customer expectations!

This role is not about change, this role is all about evolving an already successful business. Very exciting times and one that cannot be missed!
