diversity explained
At DISCOVER RETAIL we feel very strongly that no one is discriminated against for their race, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and disabilities. To support employees, future employees and employers we have put together a section on our website highlighting the different discrimination acts that are currently in place in this country.
Know your onions... we know you are short on time, so we have summarised the most important things you need to know, it is intended as a quick guide and it is not an authoritative statement of the law.
On our website you will find a number of acts that the British government has passed over the last 30 years... when DISCOVER RETAIL was born we got a little confused... the government and legal practises don't explain how to implement the 'diversity acts' easily and we wanted to get it right! So to help others like us we have put together 2 sections
'the easy bit!'... this explains the different 'acts' in easy, clear and understandable terms...
'the brainy bit!'... if you have plenty of time on your hands (and a law degree to boot) we have also supplied links to the acts in full...
Double check your facts... the content of this guide is for information only and is generally updated on a regular basis to take account of changes in law and practice. However DISCOVER RETAIL can accept no liability for any decision or action made or taken by you based on the information or recommendations in this guide and you are advised to take legal or other relevant advice.
Hope this helps
